Parents, announcing a special book study coming your way early 2010!

Pastor Ryan will be hosting a special book study for Parents, Grandparents, Teachers; really any adult who cares for and about teenagers.  The focus of this study will be to work through the book HURT by Chap Clark.  This book and companion group study will allow you a first hand look into the world of today's teenagers.  This book will help you discover what Clark calls "the World Beneath" and will hopefully help you in understanding and parenting your teenage son or daughter.

Details of when this study will be meeting will be posted soon; at this point it's scheduled to happen sometime this spring or early summer.  This is a free study open to any interested adult (you don't have to be a parent to attend).

Participants will need to purchase a copy of the book prior to the start of the study.  Questions, contact Pastor Ryan.

CONNECT

Parents, you are the number one greatest resource we at Solid Source Youth have!  Without your consistent involvement into your teenager's life, what we do within the youth ministry is considerably more difficult and less effective.  Your role as parents and partners with us is a vital one to be sure.

I want to invite you as a parent to prayerfully consider partnering with us in providing the best student ministry possible.  That being said, allow me to share with you the various ways you can involve yourself in Solid Source Youth.

  • Pray; this is definitely the most important thing I could ask you to do for the youth ministry and your own teen.

  • Open your home for various youth activities / programs throughout the year.

  • Provide your personal vehicle for various youth activities / programs.

  • Provide food and beverages for various youth activities / programs that happen at various times during the year.

  • Provide supplies for various youth activities / programs (i.e. tents, grills, swimming pool, etc).

  • And the list goes on and on...
